Tummy Talks is an organization that connects prenatal experts in their field with expectant parents. Our mandate is to bring pregnancy and newborn resources to parents to be in order to help educate and prepare them for the new and exciting phase in their life.

Expecting a baby in Québec?
Tummy Talks brings the experts to the comfort of your home! In light of public gatherings such as prenatal classes being discouraged due to COVID-19, Tummy Talks, in partnership with Lisa Ouaknine RN, is offering free online prenatal education sessions to expectant parents, catered to those who are birthing in Québec.

In Partnership with Lisa Ouaknine RN

With over 20 years as a nurse, Lisa has worked in specialties throughout the maternal/child field, including working in the labour and delivery unit with post-partum moms and their newborns at the St Mary’s Hospital in Montreal. Whether it be teaching a set of parents regarding their child in the PICU, a new mother learning to breastfeed, or a fertility couple, Lisa finds power in knowledge and enjoys sharing it. Lisa has worked full time with Cells for Life Cord Blood Institute and Insception Lifebank for over 13 years. In addition to her full-time job, Lisa has been teaching birthing classes regularly for the last 13 years and is a certified CPR instructor with the Heart and Stroke foundation. Lisa enjoys guiding new and experienced moms through this wonderful transition into parenthood. Lisa is also a mom herself (her boys are 11 and 13) and is not afraid to teach from knowledge and from experience. Lisa’s approach to teaching leaves her students feeling connected and confident as they embark on the journey into parenthood.
